Founder & President
Ed Mascolo founded NEJ in 1990 and has since led the Company to become a global leader in excess inventory solutions. With over 30 years of experience in the wholesale and retail industries, he oversees the overall company strategy, sales and new business development. Ed has been the driving force behind NEJ’s disciplined operating processes and the development of its warehouse and logistics system. His entrepreneurial approach to business has built an industry leader, with proven execution strategies for managing excess inventory transactions. In 2012 Ed established the NEJ and Mascolo Family Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization with a mission to help children reach their greatest potential through grass roots programs that focus on education, personal growth and athletics. Ed graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.

During a 34-year business career, Peter has served in numerous executive level positions of various entrepreneurial growth companies including the positions of Chief Executive Office, Head of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer while serving on their respective Board of Directors. This experience included middle and later stage entrepreneurial venture backed companies as well as privately family owned businesses. Peter currently serves on the Board of NEJ Inc. Major highlights of Peter’s career included the position of Chief Financial Officer and Board Member of TopCoder, a virtual open innovation/crowdsourcing platform, and Tallan, a project-based customized software consulting firm. He is a 1982 graduated from Assumption College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Prior to joining NEJ in January 2016, Alistair was an Associate Partner in IBM Global Business Services, serving in a variety of leadership positions specializing in the implementation of large and complex ERP, Web and Mobile Programs. He has led successful programs for a large number of clients in multiple countries across a wide range of industries and technologies. Prior to joining IBM, Alistair was a manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC and Andersen Consulting LLC where he specialized in ERP implementations.

Bob Allegrini has held several key roles at NEJ in his more than 11 years with the Company. As Vice President of Global Sourcing & New Business Development, Bob is responsible for developing new sourcing partners to drive the future growth of the Company. He joined NEJ in 2004 in a sales/new business development role and was subsequently promoted to Director of Operations, and then Director Global Sourcing & New Business Development where he served until 2014 when he was appointed to his current position.

As Vice President of Operations, Gregg Chopskie is responsible for all areas of operations, including processing, logistics, traffic, and shipping. Since 2012, Gregg has held successive roles in the Company, first as the Company’s Controller/Inventory Control Manager, then as the Director of Inventory Control & Logistics/Controller. Prior to joining NEJ, Gregg served as Senior Vice-President of Operations for Summit Golf Brands, a premium golf and sportswear company. He previously was the CFO, Vice President of Operations for Fairway and Greene LTD, which later became a division of Summit Golf Brands, and has held various positions in operations and accounting throughout his career. He earned a Bachelor of Business Management/Accounting degree from the University of Bridgeport.

Tony Melaragno spent the first ten years of his career at NEJ rising within the organization to the position of Operations Manager/Inventory Analyst. He moved to Stanley Access Technologies thereafter, where he served in various positions of increasing responsibility including Customer Financial Services Manager and Commercial Finance and Pricing Manager. Tony rejoined the NEJ team in 2013 as Assistant Controller and was promoted to his current position as Controller/Inventory Control Manager in 2014. Tony earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Post University.
